To ensure that this training opportunity is open to all there is currently no fee for participating in the online course. 
It usually takes around 2 hours to complete the online course, however this will vary for each individual, and you can pause the module at any stage and then continue at your convenience. 
You have 60 days for completing the module once you start. The system saves your progress as you go through it, so when you log out you can sign in again as often as required and continue from where you left off.
Ayrshire Smiles provides a superb foundation for new recruits and also as a refresher for those experienced in delivering customer service, and can be used to complement your existing training. In addition there is a section specifically on product knowledge of Ayrshire as a tourism destination.   

To run the training on your computer it must reach the following minimum system requirements:

 

- Operating system - Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista or Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.4 or above
- At least 1.5GHz Intel Pentium processor (or equivalent)
- 512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended)
- Screen resolution 1024 x 786
- 16 bit display (32bit recommended)
- At least 0.5 GB available disk space
- Flash Version 10
- Adobe Acrobat
- We recommend the following minimum browser specifications: Internet Explorer 8.0, Mozilla Firefox 3.6 or above, or Google Chrome. Browser versions other than those listed may allow you to access the site and use the pages, but might not display the site as designed or allow you to access all the functionality
- Your computer must be connected to the internet with a reasonable broadband connection (above 1Mb/Sec)

 

During your training you will have access (email and phone) to a dedicated Helpdesk should you encounter any issues accessing the training.
